Sound healing utilizes vibrations to align ourselves with the vibration of the earth, and the frequency of the universe. If you feel yourself drawn to instruments of sound healing or sound baths, consider building out your own collection. Sound heals, starting at a cellular level. If you called to it, explore it.
Cleansing
Singing Bowls cleanse. There are expensive crystal singing bowls, made up of 99% pure quartz crystal, that are quite fragile and break and chip very easily. They sound in very smooth and sweet tones. There are also the rich-sounding Tibetan Singing Bowls, made up of metal, which are very durable. I recommend checking out the hand-hammered bowls, as while they are more expensive, the sound quality is undeniable.
Attracting
Tingshas, much like bells, call in the higher energies, frequencies, and non-human entities.
Expanding
Gongs can be used in two types of harmonics, one, geared towards planetary notes, and the other, orchestral. A good source of gongs would be Paiste. There are several ways, and tools you can use to play a gong, but gongs resonate within you and align yourself to energies you have been closed off to.
Koshi Chimes are another instrument that expands, and can be found in four sound profiles, water, earth, air and fire. Chimes in general, are excellent tools to end a sound healing session.
How to Play?
One can always ad-lib, you start off with one sound that resonates with you, and build your collection around other instruments that complement your sound.
You can explore the sounds astrologically. You can examine your own natal chart and acquire instruments aligned to the note/ frequency of your major planets. You can expand your practice to incorporate sound baths that correspond with astrological events, align with a participant’s personal planets or magnifying an astrological vibration.
You can also explore sound healing in regards to the chakras, and also by our major organs. There are sounds that specifically target these areas, and one can play for them to heal or grow those attributes controlled by that organ or chakra.
